Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk is a city of new buildings. In recent years new neighbourhoods surrounded the city.
In spring thousands of flowers, hundreds of bushes and trees are bedded out in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. All the citizens take part in this social activities: teachers, workers, engineers, pensioners, People’s Artists of Russia, politicians, traders.
Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk is f city of unusual evening glows/ And it becomes like that during autumnal equinox. Autumn cyclonic flows and sunshine of the glow give birth to such a view made of fire and water.

In autumn Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk turns into many-colored carpet. You may say that it’s an ordinary thing. Red rowan can be found in many other cities.
Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk became a center of international collaboration. There are offices of big oil and gas companies from Japan, Netherlands, and the USA in the city. Branch offices of the companies from India, China and Republic of Korea are opened here.
Rock “Lyagushka” to which an eco-trace leads is the most mysterious places in the neighborhood of Yuzhny. This place is enfolded with myths and legends. This regional nature sanctuary received its status in 1983. 300 million years ago this high point was a sea bottom.
When in 1907 the capital of Karafuto Prefecture was moved to Toyohara (Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk) from Odomari (Korsakov) Japaneses included City Park construction in general architecture development plan.
